Do you know God offers the
free gift of eternal life to
you through Jesus Christ?
The Bible says, “That ye may
know that ye have eternal
life” (I John 5:13). Do you
know for sure, without a
doubt, that you are going to
Heaven when you die? Here is
how you can know.
All
Have Sinned
Sin is anything we do
that is wrong. According to
Romans 3:23, “For all have
sinned, and come short of
the glory of God.” We come
short of Heaven (the glory
of God) because we have
sinned.
The Penalty for Sin is
Death in Hell
Whether you have sinned a
little or a lot, there is
only one punishment for sin,
and that is eternity in the
lake of fire. Revelation
20:14 states, “And death and
hell were cast into the lake
of fire. This is the second
death.” According to Romans
6:23, the second death is
what we have earned for our
sin. This verse says, “For
the wages of sin is death…”
Jesus Paid the Penalty
for Sin
The good news is that
Jesus paid our sin debt by
His death, burial, and
resurrection. Romans 5:8
says, “But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.” The
free gift of eternal life is
offered to all, however, the
only way to receive it is by
accepting Jesus Christ’s
payment alone.
You Must Ask Jesus to
Save You
“That if
thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved”
(Romans 10:9). To receive
the free gift of eternal
life, all you must do is
make a decision to ask Jesus
to save you. “For
whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall
be saved” (Romans
10:13). If you would be
willing to accept Christ’s
payment for your sin, you
can do so by praying this
prayer, or one similar to
it:
Dear Jesus, I know I
am a sinner. I know there
is a price for sin. I
believe that You died and
rose again to pay that price
for me. I now make the
decision to place my trust
in You alone to be my
Saviour. Amen.
